About the site
This site was set up in November 2018 to help students at Fulford School in York revise for iMedia and Computer Science
It's a work in progress but the idea is to help improve confidence, understanding and literacy for exam technique by gamifying revision
All activities are based around pairs of keywords and definitions so that you can recognise, understand and use those keywords in an exam.
You may notice that the keywords are all displayed in Sans Forgetica
You can find out about this font here. It's been designed by RMIT University to force your brain to work harder to read an important word so that you're more likely to remember it
If you find it really difficult to read the text, you can turn it on or off by clicking on the button below.
If you enable easy reader mode, the keywords will be displayed in Open Dyslexic
You can find out more about this font here. It's an open source font designed to increase readability for readers with dyslexia.
Sans Forgetica font is created by RMIT university and is bound by a creative commons, non commercial attributed (CCBYNC licence)
Course topics, learning objectives and specification artwork are bound by copyright of their respective exam boards
Keywords and definitions are published under a Creative Commons Non Commercial Share Alike licence. Feel free to adapt, use and share them but link back to this site as the original author. You\'re not allowed to include them in a commercial product without permission
If you feel that anything on this site uses on your intellectual property without correctly accrediting your hard work, sorry - it'll be by mistake rather than by design. Get in touch and I'll rectify it as soon as possible.
Alternatively, if you're willing to help create keyword and definition based resources for other courses, I'd be keen to discuss how we could collaborate
I'm a full time teacher so I can't promise to reply quickly or take every idea on board.
